Dr. Amr Hosny is triple board certified in Interventional Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology as well as Hospice & Palliative Medicine.   He currently serves as the Medical Director of University Pain Center  as well as Chief and Program Director of Interventional Pain Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan - New York Medical College. Dr. Hosny is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at New York Medical College.

Dr. Hosny has lectured extensively on topics ranging from spinal cord stimulation for neuropathic pain and complex regional pain syndrome to pharmacological approaches for chronic pain.

Dr. Hosny also serves as a written examination editor for the American Board of Anesthesiology.

After completing an Anesthesiology residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, Columbia University in New York City, Dr.Hosny completed an Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA.

Dr. Nityananda Podder completed his residency in Neurology at New York Medical College, through St. Vincent’s Medical Center-Manhattan. He then went on to complete an Interventional Pain Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, through Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.

Ms. Josephine Musto is a certified family Nurse Practitioner. She brings 10 years of experience in the field of pain management. She serves as the Director of nursing at the University Pain Center.

About Us

Patients are referred to the Center after having exhausted a range of medical treatments to reduce or relieve their pain. Following an extensive initial diagnostic evaluation, an individual course of treatment is determined. This may include one or several different therapeutic approaches. The plan of care is continuously monitored by the University Pain Center physician and nurses as well as the Primary Care Physician.
